Mirko "SOKO' Djordjevic of Yugoslavia, a sky dive instructor at Sky Dive California City, is silent before his 7,427th jump. This was my first time up with the wild divers of California City. A truly strange bunch of people whose lives revolve around a hangor at a very small municipal airport in the Mojave desert make jumps daily. This was the first jump of the day. It is amazing to watch the sun rise over the desert.

By night he is a guitar god, playing at New Orleans bars and clubs, but by day he is a little league football coach, carpooler, and family man. Inside the Iuso house, the living room is filled with amps, soundboards, guitars, keyboards, horns, and show flyers. I cannot wait until the Iuso's ask me to shoot there Christmas card photo so that I can shoot the family Christmas tree surrounded by all the equipment.
